Curriculum

The key to success in education is to make sure students are engaged with the material they are learning, i.e., inquiry-based learning.  In addition, our approach to learning will be holistic, to ensure the overall wellbeing, development and growth of the child. The mode of learning will predominantly be personalised and practical, following a Project Based Learning (PBL) approach.

We offer creative and more efficient models of learning while encouraging students to pursue their interests, along with tailor-made activities to stimulate the mind. An effective and productive age-appropriate curriculum will be followed.

Moving away from concentrating on industrial age skills, our focus will be on real-world learning; the training offered will cater to real-world challenges and themes. Underpinned by a transdisciplinary approach, children will learn 21st-century skills like creativity, collaboration, communication, logical reasoning, planning and goal-setting, through hands-on, inspiring methodologies.

We employ a healthy assessment system to ensure that learning remains a meaningful yet fun-filled experience.

In helping children meet the academic requirements, we adopt the attributes and best practices of well-proven educational systems with proven track records. Playtime is considered an essential part of learning.

We currently have three programmes: Early Years (2.5 -5.5 years), Primary Years (6-10 years) and the Middle Years (11- 15 years). Further stages will be added progressively every year, as Life Hub grows and expands.

The children will benefit from the famed Montessori system of learning, combined with best practices adopted from other educational streams with successful credentials.

Setting a foundation for the child’s future development, the Montessori system enables children to make creative choices in their learning and develop independence and freedom within clear limits. The learning is multisensory as they work with materials that are specifically designed to preserve and nurture their natural curiosity.Keys to exploration are also acquired while basic cognitive abilities are developed. The materials and the methodologies used are designed to allow children to understand the “why” behind concepts while helping them recognize their errors, themselves. This approach paves way to life-long learning.

In this process, children acquire research, communication and social skills. They also develop skills associated with coordinated movement and independence, while gaining confidence and discovering their potential and place within a community.

Learning at this stage will be a combination of an academic syllabus and best practices drawn from international educational systems with a verified and positive record.

Academic requirements like mathematics, literacy, and other subject-specific areas will be addressed using an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary approach. Learning will be further enhanced through interactions with real-world professionals. The workshops will focus on nurturing the child’s curiosity and promoting critical and creative thinking skills. Further learning is achieved on the research front, as children are encouraged to keep an open mind, exploring new ideas and taking risks without the fear of failure.

Going beyond textbooks, the use of real-world tools will help children develop their communication and social skills further. Creative learning tools will also be used to help build critical attributes that make them balanced and empathetic individuals, with a desire to learn.

At this stage, the skills learnt during the earlier stages will be further emphasised and honed.

Having acquired the skills for self-learning from the former programmes, children will now work more on their academics and continue developing other skills through passion-based projects, all the while learning to assign their time appropriately. Students thus become autonomous learners, developing 21st century skills that include planning, decision-making, goal setting and time management. Children in Gr 9 will be prepared for board exams based on the NIOS or IGCSE board (based on their choice).

As part of the programme informative Seminars and Workshops by experts shall be arranged. During this time, the Advisors will work with students closely, helping them continue their journey of exploration and development of their interests and passions.

The bag of skill sets gained are wide-ranging. Children could continue following their dream of pursuing interest-based programmes including robotics, film making, photography, music, aerodynamics and multifarious creative projects.
